About the author

At present, Hyperion, or Pyre is a Masters' student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow working in neutrino physics.

He cares about diversity in the field of physics in all its forms, and pursues outreach for science communication where possible. He's very passionate about improving accessibility of higher education for disabled people across the board, motivated by both personal experience and many experiences of friends. In the interim, he's likely hoping that the hiking pole he uses as his cane doesn't get confiscated by TSA as he travels.

Physics is one of his foremost passions, but he deeply cherishes a great number of other things. He highly rejects any notion of STEM supremacy over the arts, and holds a deep appreciation for critical engagement with shows and movies, books, art, and a litany of other media.
